Sports massage is beneficial and specific to all stages of athletic training, performance, and recovery, and for all levels of athlete. Specialized strokes will increase nourishment to muscle tissues, increase speed of muscle strengthening, relieve pain, improve resolution of edema, and expedite return to normal function. In this training, you will learn how massage can
w Help build muscle, acting as passive exercise
w Maintain physical condition during the off-season
w Warm and ready the athlete for peak performance
w Insure rapid restoration to normalcy, preventing trauma.
Sports massage is also critical for the athlete’s rehabilitation from injury and for the ability to maintain and return to regular training and competition.
